Macon, GA - Junior goalkeeper Anders Granstad has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference men's soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for the week ending September 24, 2004 as announced by the league office Monday. It is the second time this season, and the fourth time in his career that Granstad has received the award.

Granstad posted 135 scoreless minutes of soccer last week in the Owls' victories over Belmont and Lipscomb. He picked up his third shutout of the season in the 1-0 win at Belmont as he stymied the Bruin attack with six saves. He added a scoreless half in net in a 6-0 win over Lipscomb, grabbing two saves in 45 minutes of work. Granstad leads all A-Sun keepers this season with a 0.71 goals against average and has allowed zero goals in his last 290:17 and only two goals in his last 409:40.
