Homesick Owls Head to #17 Wake Forest

Sept. 27, 2005

BOCA RATON, FL -- The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team will play one game this week, the final match of its six-game road-trip which ends with Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC 7 p.m., Tuesday.

The Owls (3-5-0) are 2-3 on the current road swing. A win would give them a lift, knowing their longest road-trip of the season is over.

"It will be nice to see our home field in a game setting again, but for now we have to take care of business against Wake Forest," head coach Kos Donev said.

The path, however, is not an easy one. The Demon Deacons are ranked no. 17 nationally and have scored first in six-consecutive matches.

"They have a very strong offense, so our defense is going to have to be up to the task," Donev said. "They've been one of the top 25 teams for a long time now, and we are going to have to play our best on all parts of the field."
