Junior goalkeeper Anders Granstad was named the Atlantic Sun Conference men's soccer defensive player-of-the-week for the week ending Sept. 26 by the league office on Monday.

Granstad, the Norwegian native who was named A-Sun Second Team All-Conference in 2003, made three saves in last week's 2-0 upset victory over #25 Florida International. FIU had only previously been shut out at home twice since the beginning of the 2001 season. Granstad leads the A-Sun this season with a 0.93 goals against average.

Granstad will lead the Owls (3-1) as they look go to 2-0 against ranked opponents on Wednesday night when they face #17 South Florida at 7:30 pm at the FAU Soccer Field.
