![]() Owls to Face Golden Knights
Sept. 21, 2005 BOCA RATON, FL -- Thanks to a stellar effort in all phases of the game, the Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team has gotten back to their winning ways. The Owls (3-4-0) picked up a pair of shutout victories this past weekend while outscoring their opponents 10-0 and will now head to Orlando, FL on Thursday to face the Golden Knights of Central Florida. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. After this weekend, the schedule is heavily weighted with Atlantic Sun Conference games, so head coach Kos Donev wants his team to be sharp heading into conference play. "Your first goal every year should be to win the conference, so heading into those games with a lot of confidence is very important," he said. Having only one game this week, and only two in a span of 15 days, the Owls will have to work hard in practice to stay sharp. "We will have to push them a little bit this weekend, just to make sure they stay mentally ready," Donev said.
