BOCA RATON, FL -- Anders Granstad, Florida Atlantic University's senior goalkeeper and freshman forward Javier Carillo earned Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week honors for their efforts during the Diadora Classic.

Granstad picked up seven saves and a pair of shutout victories to earn Defensive honors, while Carillo was named Offensive Player of the Week thanks to his five goal effort over the weekend.

Heading into the weekend, the Owls' offense needed a spark, and Carillo gave it to them. He scored the team's first hat trick of the 2005 season against Xavier, and then scored two more against Alabama A & M. His five goals in four games rank him third among A-Sun players.

This is the first Player of the Week award for both athletes this season; however it is the fifth of Granstad's career.
