Aug. 31, 2002 The Florida Atlantic men's soccer team tied Western Michigan 0-0 Friday night as the team played through two overtimes without scoring on the first night of the Rocky Roccoco-Wisconsin Classic, hosted by the University of Wisconsin. Freshman Anders Granstad saved seven shots en route to his first collegiate shutout. In the first half, the Owls had two good scoring chances by Preben Nilsen and Kristoffer Aarskog as the team out-shot the Broncos 10-2 . In the 16th minute Nilsen hit a screamer that ricocheted off the post. The team continued to press but were called offside, ending the attack. Aarskog, who had three shots on the night, took a shot in the 30th minute that hit off the crossbar to end another scoring threat. Florida Atlantic will concluded tourney action Sunday afternoon against Wisconsin. The Owls first home game will be Saturday, September 14th at 7:30 pm versus Florida International.
