BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic men's soccer team recently played a match against the Danish First Division squad Veijle FC.

The match was held at the Las Palmas Hotel in Sunrise and is part of the Owls' spring scrimmage schedule. FAU is preparing to defend its Atlantic Soccer Conference regular season and tournament championships.

The teams were locked in a scoreless tie at halftime, however, after the break Veijle scored three times while Shire Standnes had the only FAU goal.

"It was a very competitive match against a very good professional team," said head men's soccer coach Kos Donev after the match.
