BOCA RATON, FL- Florida Atlantic University men's head soccer coach Kos Donev announced the signing of three athletes to join the team for the 2009-2010 season.
"We are very happy about the addition of Vinny, Dominic and Timothy to our program. All of them are dedicated to the game and their academics" Donev said of the newcomers. There is the possibility of adding several more players to the recruiting class before summer.
Donev will enter his 23rd season as head coach of the Owls in 2009 and the second in the Mid-American Conference.

Bio: Recorded 36 goals, 21 assists and 93 points during senior season. Named county player of the year for the 2007-2008 season. Selected to the all-county first team for the previous three seasons. Named the ESPN Player of the Week in December. MVP of the Sun Bowl Tournament for his club team this eason.
Timothy Merrigan

Bio: Recorded 10 goals and 10 assists as a senior. Started for varsity squad and named all-county since freshman year. Named to all-state team as a sophomore and two year captain. Competed in the US Olympic Developmental Academy Showcases, Super Y League Nationals, Dallas Cup, US Club Nationals, Disney College Showcase, Jefferson Cup, Florida State Cup Finals, Regional Olympic Development Program and Coca-Cola Nationals.
