Granstad Named to All-South Region Team

Jan. 27, 2006

BOCA RATON, FL -- For the second-consecutive year, Florida Atlantic University goalkeeper Anders Granstad was named to the NSCAA/addidas All-South Region team.

The Olso, Norway native was named to this year's second team after posting an 8-10-0 record with five shutouts and a 1.42 goals-against average, stopping 86 of 112 shots. He played every second of every game for FAU in 2005.

His five shutouts tied the FAU single-season record set by Carlos Ortiz in 1983, and his 12 career shutouts during his four-year Owls campaign is a school record.

During his FAU career, Granstad played 6106:26 minutes over 69 games, allowing 90 goals while making 315 stops. His career goals against average was 1.33. His career totals in minutes played, shutouts, saves, and GAA are all FAU program records.
