Florida Atlantic University was defeated 2-0 Thursday afternoon by Mercer University in Macon, GA. It was the first Trans America Atheltic Conference match for both teams.

FAU (5-4, 0-1 TAAC) equaled Mercer in shots with 12, but a goal in each half was the difference for the Bears.

Neil Zarac gave Mercer a 1-0 lead with a goal at 28:53. Mercer maintained the 1-0 advantage until David Swinford scored with just 15 seconds left in the match to give the Bears the 2-0 victory.
