FAU Men's Soccer Wins In Last Minute Over UCF

ORLANDO, FL - With only 24 seconds remaining in regulation, freshman Darnell King scored on a Gianni Piccoletti assist to beat the University of Central Florida Knights 1-0. The goal was King's second of the season and Piccoletti's first assist. FAU (5-10-1) has won three of their last four matches.

Owl goalkeeper Phillip Lamarre played the entire 90 minutes, tallied five saves, and recorded his 15 career shutout, a school record. UCF (6-10-0) limited FAU's shots, outshooting the Owls 13-9. The win improves FAU's all-time series record against UCF to 8-17-1.

FAU has two more regular season matches, both against out of conference opponents. The Owls will travel to Florida International University on Monday, November 3 and then play at Florida Gulf Coast University on Sunday, November 8. FAU will then begin Mid-America Conference Tournament play on Thursday, November 13 at a site still to be determined.
