BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team travels to Howey-in-the-Hills, FL on Friday to participate in the Mission Inn Collegiate Championship hosted by Winthrop University. It marks the second consecutive year the Owls have participated in the event. Last year FAU finished ninth out of 17 teams with Torstein Naevestad finishing tied for seventh individually in his first career tournament.

Naevestad, a sophomore from Oslo, Norway, leads the team with a 75 scoring average. Michael Cleary trails Naevestad by one stroke while Tommy Suri is third with a 77.5 scoring average.

FAU finished 12th out of 22 teams at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate hosted by Elon University. Naevestad finished tied for 28th while Cleary finished tied for 38th. Marco Morales finished with a two-day total of 156 in his FAU debut.
