FAU Men's Golf Makes Rigorous Four Tournament Push Over Spring Break

BOCA RATON, FL- The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team will compete in four tournaments over the course of a week beginning on Monday, March 2.

FAU will begin with a dual meet against the University of Dayton. The Owls will square off against the Dayton Flyers on Monday at Ocean Breeze Country Club in Boca Raton. Dayton is led by Rob Chappell, who averages 73.4 strokes per round and hit a season low of 66 in the fall.

On Tuesday, March 3 FAU will face St. John's University with competition at the Indian Hills Country Club in Fort Pierce. St. John's hosted the Owls' first tournament in the fall of 2008, and finished five spots ahead of the Owl's 11th place. FAU will return to Ocean Breeze Country Club in Boca to end the first leg of the week against Niagara University on Thursday, March 5.

FAU then will head to Jacksonville to the Butler North/South Tournament on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10. Competing universities are Butler University, Florida A&M University, Bethune-Cookman University, Laval University and Flagler College.

FAU teed-off their spring schedule last weekend, taking sixth at the Jacksonville University Invite. Junior Ben Silverman led the Owls with a fourth-place finish.
