Men's Golf in 9th Place

ORLANDO, FL - Florida Atlantic University is tied for ninth-place after two rounds at the UCF/Rio Pinar Intercollegiate in Orlando, FL. The Owls shot 298 and 304 in Monday's first and second rounds, respectively. The two-day, 54-hole event is taking place at the 6,978-yard, par-72 Rio Pinar Country Club.

FAU was led by Matt Anderson, who fired a one-under 71 in the first round before posting a 75 in round two. Anderson is one-over with 146 and tied for 18th heading into Tuesday's final round.

Joel Gibbons is also helping the Owls' effort with a six-over 150 and is tied for 31st. Nicolai Syvertsen is tied for 37th with a 152.

FAU is tied with Nova Southeastern and is 11 strokes behind seventh-place Oral Roberts. Florida Gulf Coast leads the 14-team field at 571. The tournament concludes with Tuesday's third and final round.
