FAU Wraps Up Play at NSU Shark Invitational

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team tied for 14th place overall, despite playing a man down in final-round play Tuesday at the Nova Southeastern University Shark Invitational at PGA National Golf Club.

Sophomore Billy Bowling once again led the Owls, tying for 29th place with a three-round total of 231 (+15). Freshmen claimed the next two spots for FAU, as Jared Miller followed six shots behind in a tie for 53rd at 237 (+21), while Amit Odaiyar closed play with a score of 239 (+23). Junior Anthony Haderer placed 69th at 246 (+30).

Junior Will Cottle was forced to withdraw early in the third round due to injury.

FAU finished even with St. Leo University at 946 in a 15-team field, as Barry University edged host Nova Southeastern by a single stroke for the team title.

Brent Wilcher of Valdosta State took individual honors with a 3-under 213.

Florida Atlantic rounds out its three-event fall schedule at the Stetson Invitational. The two-day event will take place November 5-6 at Victoria Hills Golf Club in Deland, FL.
