Men's Golf Begins Fall Season

Sept. 25, 2001

FLORENCE, SC -

The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team began its fall season with a 15th-place finish at the Carolina First Intercollegiate in Florence, SC. Paul Rifenberg led the Owls with a two-round total of 150. Josh Kaplan turned in a 153 while Matt Anderson finished with a 154.

Overall, FAU had 612 as a team, which included 303 in the first round and 309 in Tuesday's final round. The tournament had been scheduled to be 54 holes however rain on the first day shortened the competition by 18 holes.

It was the first tournament of FAU's fall season.
