Men's Golf Moving Up at A-Sun Championship

DEER ISLAND, FL - Matt Anderson fired a three-under-par 69 to lead Florida Atlantic University in Tuesday's second round of the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in Deer Island, FL. Overall, the Owls shot 291 as a team and moved up two spots to seventh-place in the 54-hole event. FAU trails Jacksonville by one stroke and fifth-place Stetson by four.

Anderson's round tied for the third best of the day and vaults him into 11th-place, individually, with a two-round total of one-under 143 at the par-72, 6,670-yard Deer Island Golf Club.

FAU's Scott Kennedy is one stroke back at 144 and tied for 12th-place. Kennedy followed his opening round 71 with a 73 on Tuesday. Michael Bailey stands at 149 while Anibal Ochoa is at 156. Nicolai Syvertsen rounds out the Owls' competitors with 161 heading into Wednesday's final round.
