Men's Golf Shoots 301 on Final Day to Finish 12th
March 6, 2005 Tampa, FL -With the seventh-best round of the day, the Florida Atlantic University men's golf team moved into a 12th place finish on the final day of the Dick Wittcoff/USF Invitational Sunday. Finishing the round with a 301, the Owls completed the tournament with a score of 930 but missed on their bid for a fourth consecutive top-3 finish. Freshman Marco Morales paced the Owls with a 230 (80/76/74), tying him for 30th place overall, his fifth straight Top-30 finish. Both he and sophomore Tommy Suri shot the lowest rounds for the team in the tournament Sunday, with matching 74's. Junior Kevin Clark notched the second-best finish on the team with his three-round 232 (77/79/76), while Suri placed third among Owls with his 234 (83/77/74).
Brandan Price of Mercer finished first in the tournament with a 216 (71/73/72), while Brad Quiri of USF (73/74/72) and Patrick McLennan of Middle Tennessee State (75/73/71) tied for second with 219's. Leading Team Scores
