FAU Leads Treasure Coast Men's Classic
March 3, 2009 BOCA RATON, FL- The Florida Atlantic University golf team leads the Treasure Coast Men's Classic after hitting a season-low 283 in the first round. St. John's University is hosting the two round tournament at the Indian Hills Golf Course (6,430 yards/Par 71) in Fort Pierce. Kelly McHugh is in the top spot for the Owls with a season-low 67 round, followed by teammate Sterling Searcy Jr. (69). Playing only his second round of golf this year, Justin Thompson hit a solid 70. Carl McCauley is playing as an individual and hit a season-low 69. The final round of golf for the Treasure Coast Men's Classic will tee-off at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
