Men's Golf Finishes Seventh

Feb. 19, 2002

CHARLESTON, SC - Florida Atlantic University shot a final-round 307 to finish tied for seventh at the CSU Spring Kick-Off Tournament in Charleston, SC. Matt Anderson and Nicolai Syvertsen led the Owls in the final round as each shot a four-over par 71 at the 6,502-yard Coosaw Creek Country Club. Anderson led the Owls overall with a two-round total of 143 which was good for a share of fourth-place individually.

FAU shot a 310 to open the tournament and finished at 617, tied with South Carolina State. Host Charleston Southern overpowered the field with a seven-over par 575.

Florida Atlantic will next play at the USF/Ron Smith Invitational February 22-24 in Tampa.
