Shula Bowl Showdown Set for Saturday

Nov. 23, 2005

BOCA RATON, FL -- This Saturday will mark the last time the 11 seniors on Florida Atlantic University take the field as Owls. FAU will battle Florida International in the annual Shula Bowl at FIU Stadium.

Although Florida Atlantic may be saying goodbye to some of its outstanding players, fans will get another glimpse into the future as quarterback Sean Clayton is expected to make his second straight start on Saturday.

Clayton led the Owls to a 26-23 victory over North Texas in his only other start of the season.

FAU will be looking for its fourth consecutive Shula Bowl victory on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. from FIU Stadium in Miami, FL.

Fans can hear all the action as on the FAU Football Radio Network with Evan Cohen providing play-by-play and former NFL quarterback Steve Walsh on color. WLVJ-1040 AM serves as the flagship station.
