Owls Prep for Senior Day

Nov. 10, 2005

BOCA RATON, FL -- With just two games left in the season, Florida Atlantic University is hoping to go out on a high note. The Owls will be honoring 10 senior members this Saturday when they host North Texas.

FAU was finalizing its game-plan for the Mean Green during Thursday's practice at the Tom Oxley Athletic fields. Linebacker Shomari Earls and defensive end Josh Pinnick showed their hard-hitting ability during scrimmage play.

For the second straight day kickers Wharley Leroy and Daniel Kennard worked on kicking situations from varying distances.

The Owls top-ranked pass defense in the Sun Belt looks to shut down a Mean Green passing attack that averages only 96.9 yards a game. FAU quarterback Sean Clayton will be making his first career start and hopes to exploit a North Texas pass defense that is giving up 224.9 yards a game.

Tickets have been made available through the generosity of ADT Services, Inc, Applied Cards, Florida Crystals, Doug Doxey and the Beacon Group. They can be requested or picked up in advance by calling the athletic ticket office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS. Tickets will also be available at all gates the day of the game.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., Saturday at Dolphins Stadium.
