Florida Atlantic University linebacker Cergile Sincere has been invited to participate in the 62nd annual Hula Bowl at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 12, 2008.

The Hula Bowl is a college All-Star game which features more than 100 of the nation's best collegiate senior football players and top NFL prospects. The event has historically hosted some of the greatest players to play football, including Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Larry Csonka and Dick Butkus. Sincere is the third FAU player to be invited to the event in the school's history. Jared Allen and Chris Laskowski participated in 2004.

"It's a great opportunity to be invited," said Sincere. "I wish more players from our team could go. At the same time I will have all of them in my heart and will represent them as best as I can, as well as the state of Florida the best that I can."

Sincere is second on the team in tackles this season with 82, as well as tackles for loss with seven. He was named Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week on September 24, after a 15 tackle effort in the Owls 30-20 win over the University of North Texas. He also has been named to Phil Steele's mid-season All-Sun Belt first team.
