Owls Return to Practice

Oct. 31, 2005

BOCA RATON, FL -- The bye week couldn't have come at a better time for Florida Atlantic University as the school has been shutdown for over a week due to Hurricane Wilma. However, the Florida Atlantic University football teamed returned to the practice field on Monday afternoon in effort to prepare for the Troy Trojans.

The Owls looked crisp on both sides of the ball. Wide receiver Casey McGahee displayed his explosive speed when he took two screen passes in for long touchdowns during scrimmage play.

Looking to build off his 22-carry, 68-yard performance against Arkansas State, running back Charles Pierre ran hard in-between the tackles during scrimmage play.

Defensive backs Quincy Skinner and Lawrence Gordon each had an interception during seven-on-seven drills. Linebacker Andre Clark picked off a deflected pass to end practice.

The Owls will be back on the Tom Oxley Athletic fields tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.

Florida Atlantic University will remain closed until Wednesday morning when classes are scheduled to resume.
