Owls Prep for Indians

Oct. 19, 2005

BOCA RATON, FL -- With their third consecutive conference game approaching, Florida Atlantic University continued its preparation for the Arkansas State Indians on Wednesday afternoon.

The Owls worked through many game scenarios on both sides of the ball to try and simulate the ASU game-plan. To end practice, FAU worked extensively on special teams.

Florida Atlantic is 1-2 in the Sun Belt Conference, while the Indians enter Saturday's match-up with a 2-1 conference mark.

FAU knows it will be tested on Saturday as the Indians possess the highest scoring offense in the conference averaging 35.8 points per game. "They (ASU) really like to get the run game going and try open up the pass off of that," head coach Howard Schnellenberger said.

Owls' quarterback Danny Embick is second in the conference in both passing yards and pass efficiency as he is averaging 182.4 yards per game.

The Owls and Indians will Kickoff at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Fans can view the game on Sun Sports TV. It will also be carried on the Owls Radio Network.
