BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University single-game tickets for the 2009 football season are now on sale.

The 2009 schedule will open Saturday, September 26 at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale when the Owls play host to University of Louisiana-Monroe of the Sun Belt Conference (SBC). Fans may remember that ULM was the only team to defeat FAU in 2007 in a memorable overtime game that saw FAU fall 33-30 after three overtimes.

FAU then will face the University of Wyoming at home in the first of a home-and-home series. The Wyoming game also will mark the 100th game for the FAU Owls and its accomplished, but young program.

The Owls will welcome FAU alumni back on Saturday, October 31 for Homecoming and a game that will feature FAU and Middle Tennessee State University. The home season will close out with a game on Saturday, November 14 versus Arkansas State University, a team many believe will challenge FAU for the SBC title. ASU also featured Corey Leonard as the "SBC Co-Offensive Preseason Player of the Year." FAU's Rusty Smith was also "SBC Co-Offensive Preseason Player of the Year."

SBC newcomer Western Kentucky University will be the final home game of the 2009 season on Saturday, November 28.

The FAU Marching Owls band, dance team and cheerleaders, as well as a live musical band will celebrate with pregame festivities prior to each home game at Rally Alley & Hospitality Village at Lockhart Stadium. Bands will begin performing two hours prior to kickoff, with the last performance ending 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans are encouraged to come out and join the fun and excitement.

SEASON TICKETS:
Season tickets are available for the 2009 football season and include five home games against SBC foes ULM, MTSU, ASU, WKU and non-conference opponent, University of Wyoming.
