Blue defeates White, Scrimmage #3, 20-18

April 19, 2003

Boca Raton - The third and final scrimmage was played with a different format, a more traditional game format with the Blue team (1st team offense/2nd team defense) defeating the White team (2nd team offense/1st team defense) 20-18. A last play field goal was no good to secure the victory for Blue.

The three quarterbacks, who rotated between the two teams, called the first half and gave way to signal calling to offensive coordinator Larry Seiple in the second half. Starting quarterback Jared Allen ended the day with 41 plays. Allen was 12-24 for 194 yards and one touchdown. Danny Embick received most of the work with 71 plays. Embick connected on 20 passes in 31 attempts and tossed one interception. He ended the day with 286 yard in the air and three touchdowns. Antwan Blatch was under center for 28 plays and was 5-of-15 for 77 yards.

The ground game saw sophomore Aaron Sanchez lead the team with 80 yards on 16 carries. Daveon Barron had 22 carries for 45 yards.

The air attach saw 14 receivers used with junior Anthony Crissinger-Hill leading all with 119 yards and two scores. Fellow junior Larry Taylor had six receptions for 142 yards and two touch downs.

FAU will open the 2003 season, the program's third, August 28 at Division I-A Middle Tennessee.
