BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team will host it annual spring game, 2 p.m., Saturday, April 19th. The team will then play its final scrimmage of the Spring season on Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m., followed by the "Reach Higher, Ring of Fire" pep rally and bonfire at 7:30 p.m. The scrimmage will take place at the Tom Oxley Athletic Center practice football fields. The pep rally and bonfire then will take place at the future site of the FAU football stadium, on the corner of Lee Street and Palm Beach Avenue. "This event will finally provide closure to the celebrations of 2007 and ignite the flames for the 2008 squad," said Howard Schnellenberger, FAU's head football coach. "We are leaving the 2007 championship season and beginning 2008 with the knowledge that like the fire, we need to reach higher if we want to continue our determination to be the nation's best."
