Former FAU Kicker Mark Myers Signs with New York Jets
Former Florida Atlantic University football kicker Mark Myers signed with the New York Jets on Monday, May 12. Myers was place-kicker at FAU from 2001 to 2004, where he set numerous kicking and overall points' records, including points in a season, points in a career, field goals and extra points in a season and career. He connected on 43 of 59 field goals in his career for the Owls.

Owl Safety Gets NFL Camp Invite
Taheem Acevedo, a four-year starting free safety for Florida Atlantic University, will participate in the Kansas City Chief's camp this weekend, May 2-4. Acevedo joined the program in 2003 and had a break out game as a true freshman against the University of Central Florida. He played in every game that season including the team's run for a national championship and semi-final berth. The squad ended 2003 with an 11-3 record.
