Men's Basketball Faces Campbell

BOCA RATON, FL -- Florida Atlantic University returns home to face Campbell University Friday night at FAU Gymnasium. The game tips off at 8:00pm at FAU Gymnasium and will be televised live on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS). The game can also be heard live on www.fausports.com.

FAU enters the game 6-16 overall and 2-8 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Campbell is 4-16 overall and 1-9 in the A-Sun.

FAU is coming off a 59-57 victory at Gardner-Webb on Monday. Avery Headley and Jeff Cowans each led the Owls with 14 points in the win. Headley posted 12 rebounds while Nick Neumann, who scored the game-winner at the buzzer with a tip-in, had 10 boards. Earnest Crumbley leads the team with 16.1ppg.

Campbell, which is tied for last place in the A-Sun North, enters the game with a five-game losing streak and has lost 13 of its past 14 games since starting the season 3-3. Junior guard Tarick Johnson leads the team with 16.8 points per game. Campbell shoots 44.5 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from beyond the arc but is getting outrebounded and outscored by 12 per game.

Campbell leads the all-time series 10-5 and has won seven of the past nine. The two teams split their games last year with the home team winning both. FAU is 3-4 against the Fighting Camels at home.

Tickets are available at the door. Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and those 18 years and younger.
