Men's Basketball Heads to Gardner-Webb

BOILING SPRINGS, NC -- Florida Atlantic University heads to the road to take on Gardner-Webb University on Tuesday, February 4. The Owls will tip against the Runnin' Bulldogs at 7:30pm at the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center in Boling Springs, NC.

The game will be broadcast on WLVJ 1040-AM as well as www.fausports.com and www.wlvj.com.

FAU enters the game 5-16 overall and 1-8 in the Atlantic Sun Conference while GWU is 3-18 and 1-8 in the A-Sun. This is the first meeting between the two school as GWU is in its first season as a member of the A-Sun.

The Owls will try to snap a four-game losing streak and as well as win an away game for the first time this season. Earnest Crumbley leads the team with 16.4 points per game while Jeff Cowans is averaging 13.8.

Gardner-Webb is led by Otis Daniels, a sophomore forward averaging 11.6 points per game. Junior center Tim Behrendorff is averaging 10.2 points per game.

The road trip will only be for one game for the Owls, who host Campbell University February 7 at FAU Gymnasium.
