![]() Owls Host UCF in Pivotal A-Sun Game

BOCA RATON, FL - In a pivotal Atlantic Sun Conference match-up Wednesday night, Florida Atlantic University hosts Central Florida. Tip-off is set for 6:00pm at FAU Gymnasium with the game being televised live on Sunshine Network. The game will air again Wednesday night at 11:30pm. The game can be heard on www.fausports.com. FAU enters the game 7-6 on the year and 4-2 in the A-Sun. UCF has won nine straight and is 11-2 overall and 6-0 in the A-Sun. The Owls are trying to bounce back from Sunday's 91-89 loss at Stetson in overtime. The Golden Knights, on the other hand, are tied with Troy State atop the A-Sun and have won six of their last nine by 10 points or more while holding opponents to just 60.2 points per game. FAU has averaged 82.5 points per game and 89.3 in A-Sun games. The Owls' two A-Sun losses, to Georgia State and Stetson, have been by a combined five points. FAU is led by junior Mike Bell, who averages 19.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Dexter Lyons leads the Golden Knights with 15.9 ppg. This is the 23rd meeting between the Owls and the Golden Knights. UCF owns a 17-5 advantage and has won three straight and 10 of the last 12. Last season, UCF won 80-69 at home before defeating the Owls 82-75 at FAU Gymnasium. FAU is 4-7 against the Golden Knights at home. Tickets are available at the door. Prices are $7.00 for adult reserved, $5 for seniors/children reserved, and $5 for general admission.
