Men's Basketball to Face Troy State

Florida Atlantic University resumes Atlantic Sun Conference play Thursday night in a divisional match-up with Troy State University. The game begins at 8:00pm at Trojan Arena in Troy, AL, and will be broadcast live on WLVJ 1040-AM. The game can also be heard live on www.fausports.com.

FAU enters the game 4-9 overall and 0-1 in the A-Sun. The Owls are coming off an 80-69 loss at Central Florida on Saturday. Earnest Crumbley leads FAU with 17.6 points per game while Jeff Cowans is averaging 14.4. Cowans needs 27 points to reach 1,000 for his career.

Troy State enters the game with the A-Sun's best record at 11-3. The Trojans are 2-0 in the A-Sun and lead the South Division along with Mercer. TSU is coming off an 85-81 win at Stetson on Monday. Rob Lewin leads the team with 14.1 points per game while the Trojans average nearly 10 three-pointers made per contest.

Troy State leads the all-time series 8-2 and is 4-1 against FAU in Troy. The game is the first of two on the road for the Owls this week as the team takes on Mercer Saturday night in Macon, GA.
