DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team found themselves down big early and could never recover in a 100-69 loss to the University of South Florida at the Ocean Center on Saturday afternoon.

After winning Game 1 of a three-game weekend set in the Glenn Wilkes Classic over Stetson (68-62) on Friday, the Owls ran into a red-hot Bulls team that hit nearly two-thirds of their first half shots (64.3%) en route to a 52-25 advantage at the break.

Paul Graham III scored in double figures for the fourth-straight game to start the season, knocking down a trio of threes on his way to a season-high 23 points on the afternoon to lead FAU.

Carlos Monroe followed his first double-double of the season against Stetson with another double-digit scoring performance versus a formidable front line for USF. The pre-season first team All-Sun Belt forward finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Kentrell Gransberry dominated the post for South Florida (1-3) with 21 points and 9 rebounds. Chris Howard added 18, while Solomon Bozeman posted 17 for the Bulls as well.

Florida Atlantic (1-3) squares off against Cleveland State on Sunday in the final game of the weekend event, with live coverage beginning at 11:45 a.m. on WMEN-640 AM and fausports.com.
