With a 3-0 record and a 0.84 ERA playing for the North Adams SteepleCats, Florida Atlantic University's Jason Doherty was named to the New England Collegiate Baseball Summer League All-Star team. In 13 appearances, the senior has struck out 15 in 21 1/3 innings and held opponents to a .178 batting average. The All-Star game will take place on July 24 in Newport, RI at Cardines Field.

Doherty made 13 appearances for FAU last season as a left-handed specialist after transferring from Palm Beach Community College. He will be one of seven returning seniors on the 2006 Owls squad.
