- FAU improves to 37-23 and advances to Game 5 (Sunday, 3 p.m.).
- Robbie Widlansky recorded his 10th double of the season in the second inning.
- Daniel Cook has recorded base hits the first two games of the Regional tying a season-high hitting streak (2).
- Starting pitcher Mickey Storey gave up a run in the fifth inning ending a career-high streak of 15.0 scoreless innings.
- Storey recorded his second consecutive complete game victory.
- Mike McBryde recorded his 10th double of the season in the eighth inning. The double marked his 96th base hit of the season establishing a FAU single-season record. McBryde breaks the old record of 95 set in 1983 by Keith Foley.
- Jonathan Shapland went 2-4 on the day marking his second consecutive multi-hit game and the 16th of the season.
VCU
- Barrett Ripley recorded his ninth double of the season in the fifth inning.
- VCU ends the season with a 33-22 record.
