Florida Atlantic Drops 5-1 Decision in Fort Myers
Florida Gulf Coast won its home finale, defeating Florida Atlantic 5-1 Tuesday night at Swanson Stadium. The result spoiled the outing of FAU's Nick Melendres. The junior lefty faced just two over the minimum through five innings in his first start. Florida Atlantic (27-24-1) finished its mid-week schedule 8-8. It was the final home game for Florida Gulf Coast (37-13), the Atlantic Sun Conference champs.

FAU Clinches Spot in SBC Postseason Tournament
Florida Atlantic (27-23-1) wrapped up its home schedule with six games at FAU Stadium last week, including splitting a three-game conference set with Arkansas State over the weekend. FAU has clinched a spot in the SBC postseason tournament May 20-25 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
