Orlando, FL - The Florida Atlantic University cross country team fared well at the Disney World Classic in Orlando on Saturday.

Trey Andrews was once again the high finisher for the men, placing 4th in the 8K in a time of 26:09.00. Stephen Dassin (26:47.70) gave FAU two runners in the top 15. Ryan Davis (27:10.70/24th) ran very well in the 8K. Jordan Dopkins (27:53.30/45th), Josh Wolfe (28:12.30/55th) had a good showing in his first collegiate meet. Mohammed Razib (29:19:10/93rd) rounded out the field for the Owls.

Feil placed 3rd in the women's 5K in 18:23.80. Lisa Leutner was the next highest finisher for the Owls, placing 6th in 19:01.30. Charlene Luxama ran a 20:02.40 to place 29th. Toni Jackson (20:24.30) and Helen Mann (20:25.80) finished in 43rd andd 44th place respectively. Katie Quick and Megan Bary also ran well for the Owls.

"Our goal between now and conference championships is establishing depth for both the men and women," said head cross country coach Alex Smolka. "(Friday's) meet at Stetson will be a chance to do that.

The cross country team returns to action on Friday, October 16 when they travel to Deland, FL for the Stetson Invitational.
