Macon, GA - Florida Atlantic University women's cross country runner Claudia Beitel was named Atlantic Sun Runner-of-the-Week Tuesday afternoon, as announce by the league office. Beitel captured her second win of the season by taking the Hatter Invitational on Friday evening. She completed the race in 18:30 and has now led the Lady Owls in all six meets they have run this season.

This marks the second time this season that Beitel has won this award, previously two weeks ago on October 7th. Beitel led FAU to a third place finish at the Hatter Invitational in the 19-team field. She has not finished outside of the top-ten this season.

Beitel looks to continue her hot running when the men's and women's cross country teams travel to Buies Creek, NC, to run in the Atlantic Sun Championships.
