Coach Hooks Responds

June 11, 2001

Question from Kristen Anderson:I am currently a student at Estero High School in Estero, Florida. I run the hurdles for track and I was wondering what would a good time be for the 100 and 300 hurdles to get on a team in college?

A:Kristen, once you begin to consistently run under14.6 in the 100m hurdles and 44.5 in the 300 hurdles, you're going to open the eyes of a lot of college coaches. Good luck in the future.

Question from Dominique McLeggan:Do you have a track camp that high school sprinters like myself can attend. I am currently a sophomore at Westminister Academy in Ft. Lauderdale.

A:Dominique, we are presently working on establishing a sprint development clinic. By this time next year, if not sooner, we will have a clinic up and running. Thanks for inquiring.
