Former Owl Wins at First Professional Meet

BOCA RATON, FL - Former Florida Atlantic University sprinter Yanique Booth won the 200 meter dash at her first professional meet.

The Palo Seco games were held over the weekend in Trinidad and Tobago. Booth won the 200 meter dash in a time of 24.01 seconds. She also finished 2nd the 100-meter dash at the meet in 11.66 seconds.

Booth will be running at meets throughout the spring in preparation for the Jamaican Olympic Trials which will be held June 27-29 at Independence Park.
