Coach Smolka: FAU Meet Preview

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's track team will host The FAU Twilight Invitational following the facility's spring ribbon cutting on Saturday, March 15 at noon at FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.

Track Head Coach Alex Smolka and his team will run against Nova Southeastern University, Johnson & Wales University, Florida Memorial College, Warner Southern College and Florida International University, as well as unattached runners vying for a spot on their country's Olympic team in FAU's first intercollegiate meet. Throwing events also start at noon with running events scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

The event will jump start the Owls outdoor season and will fall into the annals of the program's inaugural home meet. The new $4.2 milllion track facility opened in January 2007.
