Booth Named Sun Belt Runner of the Week

Jan. 23, 2008

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University senior sprinter Yanique Booth has been named Sun Belt Runner of the Week.

Booth earned a provisional qualifying spot for the NCAA Indoor Championships by finishing fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in a school record time of 8.40 seconds. It is the second consecutive year that Booth has provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships. It is also the second year that she has been recognized by the Sun Belt Conference. Booth was named outdoor Runner of the Week in March 2007 after automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 100-meter hurdles.

The FAU Owls return to action on Saturday, January 26 when they travel to Gainesville to take part in the Tom Jones Memorial Classic.
