Wilson and Stough are FAU's first Post-Season Track Representatives

Richmond, VA - Florida Atlantic University's women's track team concluded the 2002-2003 season by sending two individuals to the NCAA Regional, hosted by George Mason University.

The Lady Owls, which first fielded a team in 2000, had the program's best finish with a total of eight qualifying for the NCAA meet. By season's end, two advanced both gaining valuable experience at the meet.

Sophomore Helenor Wilson was seeded 41st by qualifying times. Wilson ran the 400 meter hurdles in 1:02.46 and finished ten spots in front of projection at no. 31.

Ashley Stough was qualified in the hammer throw, an event she finished 32nd in with a throw of 49.94.

The duo was the first FAU track representatives at the NCAA meet and will use the experience gained to build the team for 2003-2004.
