Track Picks Up Five Top Finishes

Final Stats

The Florida Atlantic University women's track team completed the indoor season at the U.S. Naval Academy by taking five events. FAU finished fourth overall. Daquia McCoy led the way for the Lady Owls with a first place showing in the 55-meter dash (7.27) and the 200-meter dash (25.78).

FAU was strong in the field events as Ashley Stough, a junior from Tucson, Arizona, finished first in the weight throw with a 13. 61 mark. In the long jump, Courtney Barge jumped 37'2" in the long jump, almost a foot farther than the second place finisher.

Vicki Briggs flew through the 55-meter high hurdles with a time of 8.37 seconds.

FAU will next compete in the New York Armory Invitation on February 8.
