FAU to Host USATF Coaching Clinic
Florida Atlantic University will host a USA Track and Field Coaching Education Level I School beginning Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18 at FAU's track, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus. The USATF Coaching Education Level 1 program is a starting point for all track and field coaches. The objective of the course is to put all coaches on a common platform with events set in a foundational manner by emphasizing fundamentals, rules, safety/risk management and instruction techniques.

Smolka, Dansky Participate In Maccabiah Games
Florida Atlantic University head track and cross country coach Alex Smolka and cross country runner Eric Dansky recently returned from the 18th Maccabiah Games in Israel. Dansky finished 5th in the men's 10,000 meters and 6th in the 5,000 meters. He was also the top American and was 4th overall with a mile and a half to go in the half-marathon when an injury forced him to withdraw.
