BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University senior Lauren Shue was named the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) Female Swimmer of the Week.

Shue swam two NCAA "B" cut times and had three top-six finishes at the Georgia Tech Invite, which featured Florida State University, Louisiana State University, Duke University, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State University and the University of Miami.

Shue earned a third-place finish in the 500 freestyle with a "B" cut time of 4:53.43, which is the fastest time in the SBC by more than eight seconds. She picked up second place in the 1650 freestyle with a "B" cut time of 16:42.33, also the fastest time in the SBC. The Fort Myers native also added a sixth place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.86.

The Owls' next swim meet is on Wednesday, December 19 at 11 a.m. versus Northwestern University. The meet will be held at the FAU pool, Boca Raton campus.
