![]() Former FAU Swimmer Competes at World University Games
Aug. 13, 2007 After competing in three events at the World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand, former Florida Atlantic University swimmer Ellie Weberg has three top-six finishes. On Monday, the Bloomington, MN native was part of the record breaking 400m medley relay team which set a Games record during the prelims. The U.S. team finished with a second-place finish in the finals with a time of 4:03.96. Weberg swam two individual events before earning a spot on the relay. She finished fifth in the 50m breaststroke with a time of 32.09. In the 200m breaststroke she was the only American to advance to the finals and finished sixth in 2:27.71. On Tuesday she will close out the Games in the 100m breaststroke.
