After the second day of competition at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, Florida Atlantic University's men's and women's swim teams remain in third place. The men won the 200 yard medley relay to increase the total number of victories to four and set a pool record and school with a time of 1:30.24. Rich Marzonie, Kevin Bartell, Kenny Anderson and Eren Onurlu teamed for the victory.

The women's 200 medley relay team of Geni Burts, Ellie Weberg, Jessica Lampkin and Valeria Dalmastro also set a pool record in the event put fell .04 of a second behind Western Kentucky with a time of 1:45.04 to earn second place.

Burts would also take second in the next event as the sophomore swam a season-best 4:22.69 in the 400 IM to break the pool record but finished just behind Denver's Karen Iverson.

Other second place finishers were freshman Jenny Harms in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.43 and Ellie Weberg touched the wall in 1:04.43 in the 100 breaststroke to pick up 17 points.

For the men, Kevin Bartell picked up second in the 100 breast in 56.04 after breaking the pool record that he set earlier in the day during prelims.

Senior Rich Marzonie placed third in the 100 back with a time of 50.86, while Kenny Anderson picked up third in the 100 fly to add 16 points and Matt Brody added14 points with a fifth place showing in the 200 free.

The meet will conclude on Sunday in Little Rock, Arkansas.
