As a Freshman ('05-'06): Earned two second place finishes at the Sun Belt Championships in the 100 and 200 breast with times of 54.60 and 2:03.50, respectively...his time in the 100 breast was a `B' cut time...advanced to the `A' Final of the 200 IM and placed sixth with a time of 1:54.27...part of the 400 medley relay that won the conference title with a time of 3:20.09

High School: Attended Spanish River High School where he was the state champion in the 100 breast and the 200 medley relay...earned a third-place finish in the 100 fly...named an All-American in the 100 breast...two-sport athlete: swimming and wrestling.
